Health Now! Rally Draws Crowd to the Commons!!

Nearly one hundred people gathered on the Commons on July 31 to rally together and remind legislators to pass the Health Now! bill when they reconvene in the fall. Coalition members took turns outlining the “To Do List” that the coalition created for the legislators: Increase the Tobacco Tax by 50-cents, Insure Working Parents, Insure Low-Wage Workers, Insure 19-and-20 year olds, Reduce Youth Smoking, Reduce Tobacco-related Illness and Death, Fund Community Health Workers, Reduce Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities, Stabilize the Free Care Pool, PASS Health Now! Semenax pills NOW.

After the event on the common, everyone marched across the street to the State House and presented our supporters in the House and Senate with Health Now! Hero Awards for their continued dedication to the Health Now! legislation.

We thank everyone who joined us, especially Florence Allen, Carlos Julia, Leslie Greenberg, Mac D’Alessandro, Bill Walczak, Joel Abrams, Dr. Amit Rajparia, Dr. T.J. Austria, Marc Boutin and Steve Shestakofsky for being our emcees! Extra special thanks to Bill Hewett who put on a great juggling show!
